Brand Guidelines
Revolut is the ultimate financial super app, serving 50M+ customers worldwide. To celebrate a year of record milestones, I led design for one of the company’s most important projects — the Annual Review. Collaborating with creatives, copywriters, PMMs, comms managers, and financial stakeholders, I shaped the vision and execution across web, editorial, social and campaign assets.
All aspects of the project come together under a single vision - celebrating each milestone Revolut hit in the last year together with it's customers.
This resulted in a campaign that gained 2M+ in CMV, making it the #1 best performing external comms campaign in the media of all time at Revolut.
Problem Statement
Annual reports in finance are often static, dry, and uninspiring. Previous iterations lacked a clear design system, engaging storytelling, or global accessibility. The challenge was to reimagine the Annual Review as a flagship brand moment — one that could communicate business performance while inspiring customers and media alike.
Solution
I introduced a new editorial system paired with Revolut’s first fully animated and localised landing page. Together, these transformed the Annual Review into an immersive, story-driven experience that celebrated achievements alongside customers, turning financial reporting into an engaging brand moment.
Design Direction
The visual direction combined editorial storytelling with Revolut’s premium brand identity. Inspired by magazine layouts, it used bold infographics, strong hierarchy, and striking photography. A modular bento design system brought structure and rhythm, turning complex data into digestible, engaging blocks. This flexible system unified the web and editorial experiences, while animation and localisation made the content dynamic and globally relevant.
Editorial System
To elevate the long-form document, I redefined the format from portrait to landscape for a more digital-first read. I developed custom Editorial Guidelines, ensuring consistent, premium execution across layouts and visuals. The result was an editorial product that felt dynamic and engaging — more like a magazine or a brand book than a financial report.
